Gov Otti Visits Enyimba TV & Radio, Harps on Fire Safety Measures

Governor, Alex Otti, of Abia State on Sunday, visited the site of the fire disaster that occurred at Enyimba TV & Radio Limited at Oron Road Aba.

Recall that Enyimba which is a three-in-one radio station, was destroyed by a fire incident Saturday night, which also gutted the television stations of the media outfit.

Speaking at the station during his visit, Governor Otti, who came to assess the level of damage, condoled the management and staff of the broadcast house while assuring that his administration would help them recover from the setback.

Otti stressed the need for calm in the aftermath of the incident, saying it was a big loss to the broadcasting community and the people of Abia.

He advise both individuals and businesses to prioritize fire safety measures, especially as the dry season approaches while highlighting the importance of equipping homes and offices with fire extinguishers and encouraged organizations to establish preventive safety protocols.

Meanwhile, the three radio stations affected by the inferno are: Enyimba 94.3, Legend 98.3 and Rose 101.9 while the TV station, Enyimba TV was also gutted.

Though no life was lost in the inferno, several key equipment worth millions of naira were consumed by the fire.
