0

Anambra State governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has appointed a Special Adviser on Community Security, this is in response to the recent cases of violence in the state.

Soludo swore in the new appointee, Prince Kenneth Okwuchukwu Emeakayi on Tuesday at the executive chambers of the Anambra State Government House in Awka.

Emeakhayi, a former chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, had until recently held the position of President-General of Okija community in Ihiala Local Government Area, and was known to have coordinated security in the area.

Aside Ihiala LGA being a hotbed of insecurity and known to have camps of secessionist elements, Okija has been very peaceful, and this has been attributed to Emeakhayi’s work.

With the new appointment, he will be charged with the job of coordinating the effectiveness of local security in various communities across the state.
