Two Story Building under Construction Collapses in Umuahia

A two-story building under construction collapsed on Friday evening at Amangwu Ohokobe, Ndume, in Umuahia North LGA.

Speaking with Southeastposts.com, correspondent who visited the scene, an eyewitness Mrs Evelyn Chibuzo, said she was shocked by the sudden collapse of the building which has been roofed.

She thanked God that no body was inside the building, at the time of collapse.

Meanwhile the cause of the collapse has not been ascertained but residents of the area have attributed it to the use of substandard materials by the engineer handling the job.
