The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has promised that his administration will continue to liaise with Traditional Rulers to achieve same goal of ensuring a harmonious society.
Gov. Uzodimma who stated this on Tuesday on his verified X handle @Hope_Uzodinmma1, said it is a privilege to host Royal Fathers from the South to a dinner in Owerri, stressing that both the Government and the Traditional Rulers were making significant strides in fostering development in the zone.
He noted that the event is in preparation of the inauguration of the Southern Traditional Rulers Council, with the purpose of supporting the government in fulfilling its duties and obligations of governance.
In his words, “It is a privilege, hosting our revered Traditional Rulers from the South to a dinner in Owerri. This event is ahead of the inauguration of the Southern Traditional Rulers Council. The purpose of which is clearly to support the Government in fulfilling its obligations of governance.
Governor Uzodimma revealed that he is happy that the Royal Fathers are coming together to build and achieve cohesion especially at a time when their support is pertinent.
He stressed that it is imperative that they come together considering the wisdom they have garnered over the years, insisting that their collective wisdom is crucial in addressing the challenges facing the society today.
“I am delighted that our Traditional Rulers are coming together to build this much-needed cohesion, especially at a time when all support is crucial. Their unity and collective wisdom are vital in addressing the challenges we face as a society”.
