Erstwhile National Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Mr. Godwin Udu, has alleged that the factional National Chairman of the party, Mr Edozie Njoku is working against the progress of the party.

Southeast Post recalls that Edozie Njoku, had announced recently that he had assumed office, declaring that he had the backing of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and a Supreme Court order.

Also, another faction of the party, said it had filed a lawsuit in the Abuja High Court challenging INEC’s alleged failure to provide evidence that Njoku ever held a national office in the party.

But reacting to the development in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday, Udu alleged that Njoku and others were merely heating up the system possibly to distract the rightful leadership and owners of the party.

In the statement, Udu added that Mr Njoku was plotting on how to become the national chairman of the party ahead of the Anambra State governorship election in 2025, maintaining that the whole idea is to reap where he did not sow.

Udu said, “It’s clear to party faithful that Edozie Njoku is merely capitalizing on skirmishes to launch himself into becoming the chairman of APGA, informing that he started doing this lately because the Anambra election is coming up next year.
