‎In a statement made available to journalists in Umuahia by the Public Relations Officer, Abia State Command ASC I Doreen Udugwu, State Commandant Chukwuemeka Odimba issued comprehensive operational orders to Area Commanders and Divisional Officers, emphasising the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure.

‎The statement revealed that specialised units like the Rapid Response Squad, Tactical Team, and Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU) will conduct patrols at recreational centres, vulnerable locations, and flashpoints to curb criminal activities.

‎Abia NSCDC reassured residents of professionalism and civility in discharging duties.

‎The Command also urged the public to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and report suspicious movements or activities.

‎The statement partly reads: “I urge members of the public to promptly report any suspicious movement of persons or items to the nearest security agency. I also call on Muslim faithful to use this auspicious occasion to offer prayers for the peace, unity, and continued progress of Abia State and Nigeria at large. I wish all Muslim faithful a peaceful and blessed Eid-el-Fitr celebration.”
