Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving in Imo State have been charged to render quality services to their host communities as they resume the Primary Assignment, the next phase of the cardinal programmes.
Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma gave the advise at the official closing ceremony of the 2025 Batch C Orientation course at Eziama Obaire, Nkwerre LGA of Imo State.
Uzodimma represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt, Hon. Dr Emeka Mandela Ukaegbu, charged the Corps members that having undergone various intellectual, leadership, physical trainings, lectures and skills acquisition and entrepreneurship programmes, they have all it takes to offer valuable and quality services to their host communities.
He charged the Corps Members to settle down, integrate and respect the customs of their host communities while embarking on Community Development Services (CDS) projects that will be of immense benefits to their host communities and overall National Development
The Corps Members were further assured that the State Government will mobilise resources within its reach to ensure adequate welfare and security for Corps Members.
The NYSC Imo State Coordinator, Mr Evans Okwor, earlier attested that the Corps Members cooperated exceedingly with the management, a trait that shows their readiness to render services without doubt to the growth of the State.
Mr Okwor also expressed his appreciation to the Imo State government’s unflinching support for the scheme to thrive.
The Corps Members were further encouraged to enhance on the skills acquisition through the Post-Camp SAED training.
