The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 8 governorship election in Anambra State, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, has vowed to rescue Anambra State and her citizens from insecurity and murderous entities if elected.
Director Media and Publicity of the Ikukuoma Campaign Council, Chido Obidiegwu, stated this in a statement on Sunday in reaction to the news of gunmen killing four persons and injuring 15 others during a burial ceremony at Ogidi community, Idemili North LGA, over the weekend.
Obidiegwu revealed that Ukachukwu broke down in tears when he saw the video from the latest killings in the state, which happened a few days after another killing by government agents inside Onitsha Main Market.
“We are shocked to our marrows to acknowledge that barely twenty-four hours after Tuesday, September 9, 2025 mass killings as a result of agents of Gov Chukwuma Soludo’s irresponsible trigger-happy rag-tag army shooting at the thickly populated Onitsha Main Market, another similar mass killings occurred at a burial in Ogidi, Idemili North headquarters of the state.
According to him, “This is one killing too many, and we speak on behalf of the people to denounce the State Government’s mounting security incompetence. Surely this is not our culture or way of life.
“As the conscience of the people of the state now I, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) am stepping forward to rescue Anambra State and her citizens from this seeming murderous regime.
“Killing, shedding of innocent blood remains a taboo to us. Therefore we can no longer sit by and watch Anambra State turn into a killing field. No. Not at all.
“I humbly request every electorate to vote Ukachukwu/Senator Uche Ekwunife of the APC on November 8, 2025 in order to stop this mass killings and bloodshed that has characterized the present administration in the state.”
Ukachukwu enjoined people of Anambra to vote wisely during the November 8 Governorship election in the State and send Soludo out, pointing out that Anambra must be rescued and redeemed.
