In furtherance of its mandate to safeguard critical national assets and infrastructure, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Abia State Command, has held a state-level co-ordination meeting with all security agencies and key stakeholders in the State to seek ways of protecting critical assets.
The meeting convened on Tuesday and hosted by the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Abia State Command, Akinsola Aderemi, emphasized the need for collaboration and collective responsibility among all involved in the task of ensuring national assets are protected in Abia.

NSCDC, Abia State Command, ASC II Doreen Udugwu, revealed that stakeholders from government agencies, private organisations, and community leaders were engaged in an interactive section to discuss the protection of assets in the State.
The statement also added that the gathering focused on key objectives, including the identification of emerging threats, ensuring best practices in asset protection, and fostering stakeholders’ collaboration for a co-ordinated approach to asset protection in the state.
The spokesperson of the Abia NSCDC, also hinted that the meeting is in compliance with the directives from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
