The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State and her sister agency, the Nigerian Immigration Service, have pledged to tackle the challenges of irregular migration in Abia State.
During a courtesy visit to the Abia State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Akinsola Aderemi, by the newly appointed Comptroller of Immigration Service, Abia State Command, CIS Justina Ngozi Owe at the NSCDC State Headquarters in Umuahia, Abia State, both Officers stressed the need for synergy.
A statement issued to newsmen on Friday by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, ASC II Doreen Udugwu, informed that the visit, which centered on strengthening the existing relationship between the two paramilitary outfits also saw both Officers pledge their commitment to foster collaboration and proffer effective ways to tackle the challenges of irregular migration in Abia State.
The statement reads in part, “The visit is aimed to strengthen the existing relationship, enhance collaboration, and find effective ways to tackle the challenges of irregular migration in Abia State.
