As part of efforts to ensure a hitch-free Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration, the Abia State Police Command has assured the public of a comprehensive and well co-ordinated security arrangements designed to guarantee the safety of all residents throughout the period.
The Command also stated that to ensure this happens seamlessly, officers and men of the Command have been engaged and security presence has been beefed up at strategic locations, with proactive monitoring of public gatherings and events to ensure peace, harmony, and orderliness.
In a statement made available to newsmen Thursday evening, by the Public Relations Officer PPRO Abia State Police Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka, the Command urged Muslim faithful and the general public to remain vigilant and security-conscious throughout the period.
The statement also advised members of the public to promptly report any suspicious persons or activities to the Police or through the Command’s emergency hotlines: 08035415405, 08079210004, 08079210005, 08079210006, to help nip crime in the bud.
While highlighting the essence of collaboration in fight against criminality, the Command emphasized that the co-operation and vigilance of the public is crucial in maintaining a safe and peaceful environment for all.
The Abia State Police Command also felicitated with all Muslim faithful as they observe Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration.
