Abia State Police Command has assured the leadership of the Albinism Association of Nigeria, Abia State Chapter, of the Command’s unwavering support and collaboration in security matters.
The Command also encouraged them to partner the police by sharing credible information on suspicious persons or activities.
A press statement issued to newsmen on Wednesday by the Public Relations Officer PPRO Abia State Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka said the Commissioner of Police Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, who stated this while receiving in audience the leadership of the Albinism Association of Nigeria, Abia State Chapter, led by their Chairman, Mr. Enyinnaya Nwosu, urged them to remain law-abiding citizens.
According to the statement, the CP further pledged to support their forthcoming conference in the state, promising them of adequate security during the event just as he reaffirmed the Command’s readiness to work and partner them at all times.
The Abia Police Command spokesperson, stated that the visit was aimed at familiarizing themselves with the Command and seeking collaboration.
DSP Chinaka revealed that during the visit, the association also appreciated the Commissioner of Police for the relative peace experienced in the state and his timely response to their request for a courtesy visit.
According to them, the gesture gave them a strong sense of belonging and further affirmed the police as friends without discrimination.
