Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, has approved the appointment of certain persons into various positions/offices.
A statement made available to newsmen on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, indicates that Uche Mark Nwosu will now function as the Chief Protocol Officer.
Other appointments include: Ikechukwu Nwankwo – Deputy Chief Protocol Officer, Adaeze Ivy Iroegbu – Chief Moderator, Emmanuel Paul Irechi – Protocol Officer, Amarachi Inyama – Protocol Officer, Augustine Chukwuebuka – Protocol Officer.
According to the statement, Governor Otti made fresh appointments into Abia State College Of Education (Technical), Arochukwu with Dr. Joe Emeson appointed as the Chairman, Governing Council and Dr. Mrs. Idowu O. Eluwa to serve as the Provost of the citadel of learning.
Similarly Governor Otti appointed Iheanyi Frank Chinasa – Chief Liaison Officer/National Assembly Liaison Officer, Abia State Liaison Office, Abuja.
He also injected new persons into Abia State Transport Corporation with Emmanuel M. Ufomba to serve as Chairman while Godanswer P. Kalu, Mrs. Salomey Onwu, Kingsley Oriaku, Onyebuchi Nna are to serve as members.
Other appointments according to the statement, include: Chima Raymond Ukwa – Special Assistant, Sports, Prince Christian Enwerenmadu – Special Adviser, Agriculture, and Mrs. Chinenye Nwaka who is to serve as Senior Special Assistant, Women Affairs.
The statement revealed that all appointments is with immediate effect.
