Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has congratulated Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda on his emergence as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the NEC meeting on Thursday.
Recall that at the party’s 14th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja, Yilwatda, the party’s national legal adviser and deputy national secretary, were elected by consensus. The meeting also extended the tenure of zonal, State, council and ward executives until December 31, 2025.
Reacting via a post on X on Friday, Governor Uzodimma wrote: “On behalf of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), I extend our heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on his unanimous election as the National Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), at the just concluded NEC Meeting.
“Your wealth of experience across multiple sectors of our nation – academia, governance, technology, and public administration – stands as a testament to the depth of leadership you bring into this critical role.
“As you assume this noble responsibility, we are confident that you will work closely with our National Leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to steer the All Progressives Congress (APC) towards national unity, inclusive development, and sustainable growth,” he concluded.
