Imo Group Lauds President Tinubu’s Approval of SEIC

A group, Imo Indigenes Global Initiative for Efficient Public Service has lauded President Bola Tinubu for the speedy approval of the South East Investment Company, SEIC.

Tinubu recently gave approval to the proposal for the creation of the company, which was proposed by the management and board of the South East Development Commission, SEDC, led by Mr Mark Okoye.

The SEDC had conceived the SEIC as the platform that would drive its investment vision for the purpose of the realization of the mandate of the SEDC, which is the economic reconstruction of the South East Region.

Southeastposts reports that following the conceptualization of the vision, the Mark Okoye led team had sent the proposal to the president, who a few days ago formally approved the laudable framework.

Reacting to the development, Imo Global Initiative for Efficient Public Service, has conveyed its heartfelt gratitude to the president for approving the groundbreaking initiative.

Coordinator of the group, Mazi Anayo Didi Oguguo, while speaking with journalists, said the prompt intervention of the president once again demonstrated his concern and unwavering commitment towards the rebuilding of the region, after over fifty years of federal neglect.

The group noted that the South-East Investment Company would be the game changer in the quest of SEDC to fulfill the onerous task ahead of it, as it would serve as the platform for the attraction of the critical funds needed to develop the region.

Mazi Oguguo also commended Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Deputy Speaker House of Representatives, for his dedication and commitment to the realization of the vision of rebuilding South-East region, using the instrument of SEDC.

He also extended his commendation to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SEDC, Mr Okoye and his team for their visionary and pragmatic leadership, which he noted has resulted in the various milestones the SEDC has recorded within the few months of its existence,

Oguguo,expressed optimism that with the obvious passion, hardwork and sacrifices being made by the team, the desired transformation of the region would be achieved in no distant time.
