Abia State Government has announced the postponement of the official flag-off ceremony for the Abia Medical City, billed to take place this week.
A statement on Tuesday by the Abia Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, said the postponement is due to unforeseen circumstances, adding that a new date for the groundbreaking event will be communicated in due course.
The state government regretted any inconvenience the postponement may cause just as it lauded the understanding and continued support of Abians while the state government work to ensure the success of this landmark health infrastructure project.
The statement reads: “The Abia State Government regrets to inform the public that the official flag-off ceremony for the Abia Medical City, earlier scheduled to take place this week, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
“A new date for the groundbreaking event will be communicated in due course.
“We sincerely regret any inconvenience this postponement may cause and appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work to ensure the success of this landmark health infrastructure project.”
