The Abia State Ministry of Agriculture has pledged to remain neutral in all internal matters concerning the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN).
A release made available to newsmen on Saturday by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Oluchi Franklin-Oji, said the Ministry dissociates itself from any decisions, statements, or actions purportedly made by the leadership of any of the AFAN factions that suggest otherwise.
The statement urged all stakeholders to remain focused on the shared goal of advancing agricultural development in Abia State, advising that attempts to politicize or manipulate the affairs of the association should be disregarded.
While re-assuring Abians of the Ministry’s commitment to support all farmers and foster inclusive growth in the agricultural sector without bias or affiliation to any group, the ministry also urged all the factions to come together to form one united body for the good of Abia farmers and Abians in general.
The statement advised the public to approach the Office of the Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Agriculture, Abia State for further inquiries or clarification.
