Defence Minister Badaru Visits Enugu, Imo for Operational Tour

The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar is currently on an operational tour of the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army and other military installations in Enugu and Imo States.

Southeastposts reports that the Minister arrived Enugu on Thursday and was received by Major General H.T. Dada, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 82 Division and Commander of the Joint Task Force South East (Operation Udoka). Other senior military officers were also present to welcome him.

As part of his itinerary, the Defence Minister is expected to engage with key stakeholders in the South-East to deliberate on pressing security challenges and chart a way forward for peace and stability in the region.

Further details of the visit, including outcomes of the Minister’s meetings with stakeholders, are expected to be made available subsequently.
